• Fixed an aesthetic wrapped in factor()/as.factor()/ordered() (e.g. fill = factor(am)) being treated as continuous: the wrapper is stripped to the bare column for matching, but the numeric column is now coerced to a real factor so CanvasXpress shows a discrete legend and keeps the values (am 0/1 no longer sorted/labelled as null). A column used BOTH wrapped and bare — e.g. aes(factor(cyl), mpg) with geom_violin(aes(fill = cyl)) — stays numeric, so only columns used exclusively as factor(...) are coerced (a continuous fill is not turned discrete).
• Fixed the shape aesthetic being dropped from the emitted mapping: aes(shape = g) now produces aes$shape so CanvasXpress maps the point shape per group (and shows a shape legend) instead of drawing every point with the default shape.
• Fixed ggplot.as.list() aborting on a constant aesthetic (e.g. aes(x = 1)): a constant mapping is a bare literal, not a quosure, so quo_get_expr() errored. Such mappings are now materialised as a single-level factor column (collision-safe name) and mapped to it, so the constant denotes one group (a single bar) as ggplot intends.
• Fixed a function-call aesthetic such as y = -log10(pvalue) (used by EnhancedVolcano) emitting a malformed aes label with the closing paren stripped (-log10(pvalue), which no longer matched the materialised column and crashed the renderer. Only factor(...) / as.*(...) coercion wrappers are unwrapped now; other expressions are left intact so the aes label matches its data column.
• Fixed plotmath / bquote() labels (axis titles, plot title/subtitle, legend titles) such as EnhancedVolcano's bquote(~-Log[10] ~ italic(P)) emitting the raw ~~Log[10]P: they are now converted to HTML CanvasXpress renders directly (-Log<sub>10</sub> <i>P</i>), with subscripts/superscripts and italic/bold faces.
• Fixed a discrete colour/fill scale's custom labels being ignored, so the legend showed the factor's raw codes (e.g. EnhancedVolcano's NS / FC / P / FC_P) instead of the scale labels (NS / Log2 FC / p-value / p-value and log2 FC). The labels (plotmath converted to HTML) are now applied to the colour data, colorKey and level order.
• Improved multi-variable facet_wrap (e.g. facet_wrap(vars(g, h))): the converter now emits the facet variables as an array so CanvasXpress draws one stacked strip label per variable (like ggplot), instead of a single composite g_h strip. The extra composite data column is no longer added.
